WOMEN & GIRLS’ SPORT
An interactive 2 hour workshop to develop your knowledge and understanding of fitness for female players.
With more women and girls now playing football than ever before it’s important to understand the exceptional scientific issues associated with female players.
In this workshop you will learn about the differences between male and female players, special considerations for the exercising female, the trainability of speed, strength, power, and endurance, and common injuries to be aware of in female sports.
How is the workshop structured?
This is a 2 hour face to face workshop. In the workshop, you will experience a range of practical and theory, with supporting demonstrations, and question and answer sessions to meet your needs.
What You’ll Learn:
This workshop will help you to:
- The fundamental principals of training female players
- Special considerations for female players and the effects on training and performance
- Training young female players
- The development of fitness qualities for female players and the trainability of speed, strength, power, and endurance
- Common injuries in female sports, and injury prevention strategies to reduce the risk of injury
