You are being invited to take part in a ‘Reducing the risk of injury: Injury prevention strategies for female grassroots football’ presentation that I am delivering for Surrey County FA on Saturday 16th March 2024. Before you decide whether or not to take part, it is important for you to understand why the workshop is being delivered and what it will involve. Please take time to read the following information carefully. Dear player/parent (or guardian), I am delivering the above workshop as part of the Surry County FA HerHealth Summit on Saturday 16th March and require female volunteers to record themselves performing 3 consecutive tuck jumps to identify a really simple screening protocol that can be used in grassroots football. What will happen if you/ or your child take part? If you decide that you or your child would like to take part, you will be required to send over a video of you or your child completing 3 consecutive tuck-jumps, it’s as simple as that! What will happen to videos? Involvement in the study is entirely voluntary and any videos gathered would be used solely for the purpose of this presentation, thereby protecting personal privacy, anonymity and confidentiality via ethical guidelines and procedures. Will my / or my child’s information be kept confidential? All information given will be strictly confidential, and all videos will be anonymous, unless you agree otherwise. All information collected will only be used for the purpose of this presentation, will be kept private and will be stored on a secure memory stick that only I will have access. By taking part in this presentation, you may help grass-roots football coaches to understand how to introduce injury prevention strategies to their coaching.
